Sibarista is an online specialty coffee store that creates direct and lasting personal and business relationships with small producers .

We value the work that goes into growing, harvesting, processing and selling the coffee we enjoy, and believe that the communities and families responsible for this work should be fairly compensated.

Responsible consumption

Our mission is to help you understand where the coffee you drink comes from, so that you can understand how your morning coffee impacts the economic development of coffee-growing regions and the care of the environment.

By consuming specialty, fair trade and traceable coffee, you help take care of people and our planet.

Why a gourmet?

At Sibarista we make specialty coffee accessible to everyone , because enjoying good coffee and making ethical and responsible consumption is everyone's business.

Every cup of coffee is more than just a morning energy boost, it's a daily action that makes an impact.

By enjoying your fair trade specialty coffee, you are doing your first responsible thing of the day.

  • Contact with the family

We spoke to the producers to meet the family behind the coffee .

We learn about their environmental policies , business objectives, working conditions , and of course their coffee.

  • Coffee tasting and selection

We taste their coffees at origin if possible, but again always at destination. We experiment with roasting, looking for the WOW! effect that the coffee deserves until we find its perfect point and decide which coffee to work with.

  • Importation of green coffee

We ship by boat through Algrano, an importing company that respects the prices of producers and gives them visibility in the market. As it is seasonal coffee , the shipment is made at the end of the harvest and takes 2 and a half months to reach its destination.

The values that move us

  • Social responsibility

We learn about the origin of the coffee we work with, we know the families who produce it and we choose a team of professionals aligned in values so that the product reaches you. We learn about the needs of the families and we pay salaries together so that the producer can reinvest in methods and varieties that ensure stability , and we can always have your favorite coffee available .

  • Transparency

We work with specialty coffees with a score of 80+ (SCA), which allows the producer to set a fair price. We seek transparency by reporting the costs of the entire process , from the work of the producer until the coffee reaches your cup, so that you know what your coffee is worth (be patient, we are just starting and we do not yet have all the costs).

  • Sustainability

We have been looking for an environmentally friendly product from the very beginning:

    • Reducing water consumption
    • Growing in the shade
    • Replanting trees
    • Using organic fertilizers
    • Caring for local fauna

And that respect is maintained at destination with recyclable packaging.

The Story of Sibarista

At Sibarista, everything has an origin and a reason for being. This project was born from a series of experiences and learnings that, like points on a map, were connected to give it life.

It all started in 2013, when during my university studies I discovered the positive impact that women's economic empowerment can have on the global economy. I learned that closing the gender gap could mean a $7 trillion boost to the world economy. From that moment on, I had the idea of creating a microcredit program for women in rural areas, but for various reasons, it fell through the cracks.

In 2016, during a trip to Egypt, I felt the need to return to my dream of creating a social project. This time, my inspiration was coffee. I imagined a project that would not only promote quality coffee, but also have a positive social impact.

Years went by and my career in marketing and communication was always geared towards sustainability and ethics, but I felt like I wasn’t doing enough yet. I needed my actions to contribute to making the world a better place, and I firmly believed that if we all give back a little to society, we can make a significant difference.

In 2023, I embraced the nomadic life and started traveling. These trips allowed me to connect with diverse cultures and understand how coffee is a means to discover and learn about the world. Every cup of coffee has a story to tell, from its cultivation to the way it is enjoyed in different countries.

So, in 2024, all these points finally came together and Sibarista was born. This project not only seeks to offer amazing coffee, but also to value and support local producers and communities. Sibarista celebrates the stories and life lessons we discover through coffee, promoting sustainability and respect for people, culture and the environment.

Sibarista is more than a coffee brand; it is a movement that unites dreams, experiences and a deep commitment to making the world a better place, one cup at a time.
